During the height of the global pandemic, as it pertained to America, roughly 30 million Americans lost their jobs. This was a combination of people getting sick and not being able to work, along with the American government declaring that around 80% of all businesses in the country were nonessential and thus had to be shuttered. Unfortunately for America's jobs market, less than half of those businesses have returned; and of the roughly 50% lucky enough to reopen, upwards of three quarters are doing drastically reduced business and are dealing with labor shortages, either from people not working or companies not being able to afford to keep them on. This has led to the worst jobs numbers in America's history. Do not believe the rigged way that the government counts unemployment. They only count people who draw benefits.
Over 20 million unemployed Americans have had their benefits expire this year, and so the government conveniently fails to count them as unemployed. People who have been unemployed for a year or more are no longer counted. Then you have people who have been fired due to vaccine mandates, or quit due to mandates, poor treatment, little pay, etc; the point is that the government doesn't count them either. So, in reality, America has about 50 million eligible people who are not working. Many cannot draw benefits, so where do they turn? More and more people are starting to try to work from home.
Is a work at home job a good way to go about making a living? Here is some information that may help you decide if this sort of job is worth it or not.
Skills and Talents Translate Well
One of the best things about the work from home market, besides the fact that its remote work, is that there's a desperate need for skilled people and so any sort of skills you have in the cyber realm will translate well in the marketplace. Coding, writing, IT support, or even the ability to type fast and submit forms on schedule are things that are definitely highly sought after. You see, you have to understand something about the online job market, at least as it pertains to America. Most millennials and qualified Gen-Z people want to be bloggers or use social media, and most people from the Boomer and Gen-X timeframe don't know what theyre doing. So this leaves a huge space in the market for people who have skills.
The only real issue here is the global competition. People can hire those from India for reduced rates. Though there are openings for native English-speakers and even American citizens; and these jobs will pay well and help you stay employed.
Cyber is the Largest Infrastructure
Also understand that this is the world's largest bit of infrastructure. There is so much work that needs to be completed online. It truly is amazing at just how many industries require online work. Even larger fast-food corporations need IT people. Their registers, money-counting systems, schedules, etc, are all digital now, mostly in the cloud, and so they're seeking people to help manage these sorts of things. Imagine holding a managerial-like position at a restaurant chain without ever having to leave your home or don one of those uniforms. This equates to good pay, solid benefits, and a lot less stress on your part. It's really a great way to go about finding employment in today's world, and most companies are hiring for such positions.
Another way that you might view the term "infrastructure" is to think about all the roads and bridges throughout the many towns and cities of America. Now consider the fact that you won't have to be traveling here. This means you don't have to fight to wake up at the crack of dawn, and you won't have to drive through traffic just to get to and from your place of employment. This not only means saving potentially thousands of dollars every year in fuel costs and auto repairs and maintenance, but it also means not having to suffer from any undue stresses associated with this type of lifestyle. Things are easier and a lot calmer on you, and you're able to just get up and work without having to rush and ultimately travel.
For millions of people out there in America, working from home is definitely worth having. Many make lucrative careers out of these jobs.
